Series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complicated and brilliant detective Alex Cross

Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first portrayed him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which was a box office flop and led Lionsgate to cancel the planned sequel Double Cross. Story-wise, I enjoyed this series and have been a fan of Aldis since the first episode of Leverage.

Every scene was dark and foggy

My biggest complaint is the dark photography. I soon found the haze distracting at times… where was it coming from?

They can be outside with blue skies at midday and they’ve still found a way to make it look dark… like a permanent eclipse or something

Nobody smokes. Forest fires?

I’d say it even got embarrassing at times

Other than that, I’ll avoid spoiling the ending, but it did go off the rails a bit and then tried too hard to tie up loose ends…
