Maria is a marvel to behold

The photographs and the atmosphere of the period are masterfully created. The set, its apartments and locations are magnificent. The costumes are beautiful, the fabrics, the furniture, everything was breathtaking. The problem is that Maria has everything to offer.

But they had so little opportunity to work

I don’t love Jolie as an actress, but I think she did well here, as did all the actors. The whole film is so slow and boring that I could only focus on how good it all looked. I learned nothing about Callas, and what’s worse, she must have had more than just a connection to Onassis. In fact, this relationship seems to have defined her life according to this film, and I think it’s an insult to a real woman.
