In the mysterious and surreal zone between Tehran and Winnipeg, the fates of many characters intertwine in surprising and mysterious ways. Elementary school students Negin and Nazgol find a stash of money frozen in the winter ice and attempt to collect it. Meanwhile, Massoud leads a group of increasingly confused tourists through Winnipegβs monuments and historical sites. Matthew leaves his dead-end job in a government office in Quebec and embarks on an enigmatic journey to visit his mother. Space, time and personal identities interpenetrate, intertwine and echo in a surreal comedy of disorientation.
